John brings a breadth of business and management experience to his role on the Beacon Board of Directors. This includes technical and human capital planning and management in several high tech sectors as well as start-ups, small businesses, and non-profits. John has served as the General Manager of Operations for the Microsoft Network and the Executive Director for Information Resources, Human Resources, and Quality Assurance for US West Cellular. He recently served on the faculty of the Executive Leadership Program at Seattle University. John currently provides executive consulting services to a variety of groups.
John holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University, with a major in the Design and Evaluation of Educational Programs, and a minor in Computer Science and Business

Jim Burns is currently the Executive Director of the Chief Seattle Club, a non-profit day center dedicated to providing Native Americans in Seattle with food and social service support.
Jim was the first Director of Development for the Archdiocese of Seattle where he raised 47 million dollars during his tenure.
Jim holds a Master's Degree from Seattle University.

Jim Chamberlin serves implement.com Corporation as its Vice President of Finance and Administration. With more than 20 years of business experience, he has served organizations in various capacities including controller, chief financial officer, chief operations officer, president, and as a member of the Board of Directors. The focus of Jim's work has been on the growth and development of small businesses. These businesses have matured within varied strategic goals, including the sale to a Fortune 100 company, significant growth within a closely held cmpany, and an initial purblic offering (IPO) on the NASDAQ stock market.
Jim is a founding member and former treasurer of The Business Roundtable.

Barbara comes to Beacon with over 20 years of leadership experience in non-profit, for-profit, and educational organizations. Barbara has served four years as the Executive Director of a non-profit training company, operated her own business, and worked twelve years as the client services and training director of a national non-profit educational organization.
She has worked extensively in the areas of client relations, workshop development and delivery, staff supervision and support, leadership development, and team building. In her role at Beacon, Barbara works with the Board of Directors, President, and Leadership Team to create, implement, and evaluate structures, systems, and processes to promote the organizational effectiveness of Beacon Development Group and develop the skills and expertise of its employees.
