: The New Life Villa project provides 35 units
of permanent and seasonal affordable housing for agricultural workers
and their families and one manager unit. The project includes a
mix of two, three, and four-bedroom townhouse buildings designed
to accommodate families with children. The development includes
a community building that is used for recreation and educational
programs.
New Life Villa serves families employed in agriculture that live
in Mabton and the surrounding central Yakima valley area year round
(25 units) and families and single individuals who live in the area
seasonally (10 units). Farm worker households must earn a minimum
of $3000 per year from farm work. 19 of the year round units are
available for families at or below 40% of AMI, 6 units are available
for families at or below 50% AMI and all migrant units are available
for individuals or families at or below 50% of AMI.
