Project Description:
The Marjorie Terrace Apartments (formerly known as the Marcus Whitman Homes) required a complete “gut” rehabilitation to bring the seven deteriorating wood frame buildings up to sufficient quality to ensure the safety and well being of its elderly population. Located in Walla Walla, WA, the renovated buildings consist of 48 1-bedroom units and one studio unit plus a manager’s unit, common room, and laundry room. Ten of the units are set-aside for seniors with disabilities.

Residents Served: Marjorie Terrace Apartments serve independent, elderly tenants whose income is at 40% and 50% of area median income. Ten units are set-aside for seniors with disabilities. The Walla Walla Housing Authority invites agencies to the property to share resources and conduct classes and also handles oversight of off-site services to ensure the well being of residents.
